Lexus has quietly phased out the LC 500h hybrid in the U.S. for the 2026 model year, opting instead to offer only the 5.0 liter naturally aspirated V8. This shift comes after dismal hybrid sales, just eight units in 2024 and a total of only 248 sold during its entire run, while enthusiast and critic feedback overwhelmingly favored the V8 for its performance, sound, and driving character. The LC 500 retains its thrilling 471 hp, 398 lb-ft V8 engine, paired with a 10-speed automatic, delivering a 0 to 60 time of around 4.4 seconds. For 2026, Lexus introduces the limited-run Inspiration Series: 200 coupes in matte Smoke Gray and 350 convertibles in Pearl Wind white, featuring bespoke carbon-fiber accents, forged wheels, and upgraded tech and styling.
