In a landmark global victory, the International Court of Justice has ruled that governments must step up and protect our right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.⁣ .⁣ In the ruling, the Court emphasised that in addition to fulfilling the promises made in the Paris Agreement in 2015, governments must use all means at their disposal to reduce their emissions and meet the 1.5C goal, including regulation of polluting corporations.
