On Thursday, July 24th, Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Matt Johnson announced the hiring of Conor Foley as head coach for the Ravens’ men’s ice hockey team. Foley, a native of Nahant, MA, played four seasons for #FPU skating in 87 career games while putting together 44 goals & 51 assists for 95 points overall. A two-time captain, Foley is considered one of the most decorated players in program history. He won the Northeast-10 (#NE10) Player of the Year award for the 2022-2023 season while also being a finalist for the Sid Watson Award, NE10 Man of the Year and twice for the Joe Concannon Award. Upon graduating from FPU, Foley earned his MBA at UMass-Boston where he’d dress in 26 games for the Beacons while racking up 7 goals & 10 assists. From there, he’d move into pro hockey and join the Port Huron Prowlers of the FPHL. Foley would be a point-per-game player accumulating 8 goals & 7 assists in 15 regular season games.
