US President Donald Trump has arrived in Scotland for a five-day visit, during which he will tour family-owned golf courses and hold high-level meetings with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said “immigration is killing Europe” and warned of a “horrible invasion,” saying, “You’re not going to have Europe anymore.” He added that some leaders had resisted this trend but were “not getting the proper credit,” though he declined to name them to avoid “embarrassing” others.
His comments echoed far-right “Great Replacement” theories, which claim Europe’s population is being displaced by migrants from Africa and elsewhere.
