Week one of our Joffrey San Francisco Summer Intensive joffreysf has come to a close, and with it, the start of a transformation—quiet, powerful, and in motion. In the studios dancers explored the edges of their technique, unfolding beyond form into feeling. Classical foundations met contemporary freedom, and every phrase, every reach, became an invitation to move with greater intention, depth, and artistry. With guidance from Artistic Director Josie Walsh ballet_red and our inspiring faculty, students began to shape not only their movement, but their voice. This week, dancers stepped into a space where curiosity leads and vulnerability is a strength. Technique was challenged, boundaries were stretched, and artistry was revealed in new and often unexpected ways.
