The 13th Annual Gender Matters Symposium at California State University, Bakersfield took place March 25, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The half-day webinar held on Zoom had a variety of keynote speakers and panel conversations centered around a timely theme amid Women's History Month: “Women in America – What should we do now?” Some of the keynote speakers included: -Tiffany Cross, an American journalist, television personality, political analyst, and author. She is the host of The Cross Connection, a Saturday morning MSNBC show. -Rosa Clemente, an American community organizer, independent journalist, and hip-hop activist. -Dr. Safiya Umoja, an associate professor at UCLA, and the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry.
