Hendrickson is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and required special permission to fulfill his last year of remaining NCAA competition eligibility at Oklahoma State. Due in a quirk in how the NCAA handled eligibility during COVID, Hendrickson had one year remaining to compete. However, the military academies don't permiss students to be there for five years.
