A Haddonfield Little Leaguer who was suspended for flipping his bat is cleared to play in the New Jersey state tournament.
Marco Rocco, the 12-year-old who was suspended, will now play in Thursday night's New Jersey state tournament game. The winner of the state tournament advances to the regionals, where they have a chance to move on to the Little League World Series.
Rocco was suspended after he tossed his bat in the air on July 16 after hitting a game-winning two-run homer in the final of the sectional tournament.
Joe Rocco, Marco's father, said the suspension left his son "distraught."
