The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. July 26 on Pleasantfield Road. Thomas L. McGuff, 21, was fatally injured when the pickup he was driving ran off the road and into an embankment before hitting a tree. McGuff, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
