Ahead of Thursday's Commencement, we take a look at some of our student honorees that will be recognized at the ceremony! University Medalist: bsciumd major Vainavi Gambhir is a Rhodes Scholarship semifinalist, univ_system_md Student Council President and UMD's 2025 University Medalist. Earning the highest honor bestowed by #UMD each academic year, Gambhir aims to become a physician and health policy advocate with specialties in pediatrics and holistic wellness. Student Speaker: umd_agnr science and technology student Gregory Garin will deliver the student speech at our main commencement ceremony. Planning to pursue a Masters in Education going forward, Garin hopes to combine agriculture and elementary education to benefit younger generations.
