Hit hard, hug harder. Finally got a moment to share some photos from the last home match of the 2025 season. These women built a community around rugby. They made hats & player cards, planned game themes, had community events, mentored young players, took time to meet fans, woke up early to practice, flew around the world to compete, and so much more. I remember when the first home game ended and the crowd started singing pink pony club. I got chills and started to tear up because I felt the love in the stadium. The community was here for the team, for the players, for women’s sports, and for the inclusivity that the sport stands for. I know I wasn’t the only one who felt that. I was talking with another friend who said it was like they entered a different world when they walked into the stadium, like a much needed break from reality.
