The future of science is in good hands! International Day of Women and Girls in Science is today, 11th February, providing us with an ideal opportunity to connect with our students across the many scientific disciplines studied here at Trinity. So for the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO and UN-Women designated day we went out on campus to find out - why do you study science? The answers were as diverse, fascinating and insightful as the students who answered. It's exciting to see a student body so full of curiosity about the world and with the drive to solve problems through science and technology! The unique skills, perspectives and ideas of women and girls are crucial to scientific research and having this day in the calendar helps bring us that bit closer to equal participation in science.
