China and Russia will conduct a joint naval exercise near Vladivostok in August, followed by a joint maritime patrol in the Pacific Ocean, according to a statement from China’s Ministry of National Defense.
Spokesman Zhang Xiaogang said the drill, named Exercise Joint Sea-2025, is part of the two militaries’ annual cooperation plan.
“It is not targeted at any third party, nor is it related to the current international and regional situation,” Zhang emphasized.
