Hundreds of British Jewish activists gathered outside the UK Foreign Ministry in London to call for an end to UK support for Israel amid the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Organised by Jewish group Na’amod and Israeli anti-occupation collective Mi-Neged, the protest denounced what participants called “man-made starvation” and urged the UK to impose sanctions on Israel.⁣ ⁣ Protesters banged pots, held signs reading "Jews against genocide" and "Stop starving Gaza", and chanted in solidarity with Palestinians.⁣ “We are being used as an ideological shield,” said one Na’amod activist, accusing the UK government of exploiting Jewish identity to justify foreign policy. “They claim it’s in the name of Jewish safety – it isn’t.” Another demonstrator described the Gaza situation as “absolutely apocalyptic,” demanding that UK leaders speak out and take concrete action.⁣ ⁣ The groups also delivered a letter to Foreign Secretary David Lammy, urging “maximum pressure” on Israel.⁣ ⁣ Their cal...
