The week/weekend of LSPR was a rough one for the Block family and Hoonigan Racing Division. It started with Lia being involved in a kart crash (spun by a competitor) which resulted in a kart on top of her and her needing to go to the hospital with a badly hurt knee! Following that, we had engine issues in my race car and had to end a test early and swap engines. Lia’s a tough kid and made it out to Michigan late because of the knee injury, and then had issues in the race because of the muddy conditions (ended up stuck on the side of the road) and lost a rear wheel assembly on day 2 (it fell off whilst racing). And of course, I had the misfortunate incident of throwing away the championship and lead of the race by miscalculating the risk of mud behind a crest. “That’s rally!” they say, but damn it sure was a brutal race week for us. #thatsrally #LSPR2022 #gofasttakebigrisks
