Things were going exceptionally well, right up until they weren’t! We had built a solid lead on the pack throughout the first 6 stages yesterday, putting us in the lead of Lake Superior Performance Rally (LSPR), the final of the ’22 American Rally Association Championship. As the lead got bigger (26 sec) we backed off a bit and drove smoother than ever, but as I came into a crest got off-line in 70 meters of mud and I couldn’t keep the car on the road. Alex Gelsomino and I are okay, but the car is not, and we lost our chance at the ’22 ARA Championship—so we’ll be back next year! #thatsrally #HyundaiUSA #LSPR2022
