Scientists at the University of Utah are taking a close look at some "violent objects" they found deep in space. “We don’t know what they are, but they’re big, huge, violent objects with extreme electric fields, extreme magnetic fields,” said Dr. John Matthews. “And, could be something like a black hole that’s eating something, like maybe even another black hole.” With an unusual array of telescopes in the desert of Central Utah, about 1,000 square miles are covered with 60 telescope arrays, made up of specialized mirrors, and about 500 stations called scintillators.
