Thursday night's protests were peaceful and police are expecting that to continue through the weekend. But Utah's local law enforcement will have backup if they need it. Utah National Guard Lt. Col. Chris Kroeber told KSL there is still no indication troops will be called to assist local law enforcement. Meanwhile, the Salt Lake City Police Department is encouraging protest organizers to keep communicating with officers in order to keep the public safe. ✍️: Clayre Scott, KSL NewsRadio 📷: Kristin Murphy, Deseret News 📷: Ben B.
