Salt Lake City's plans for the ballpark neighborhood also call for a new fire station, library, parks and open space, retail and more than 450 housing units.
“This is imagined as a mixed-use, 365-day-a-year, 24-hours-a-day neighborhood,” said Darin Mano, Salt Lake City councilmember and chair of the Community Reinvestment Agency.
Many details still need to be worked out, such as the exact mix of the new housing, but planning officials told KSL TV they will “prioritize” owner-occupied units.
