We pulled up to themidwaysf for the first annual
sf.hiphop Festival surrounded by graffiti, vinyl, cyphers and the legacy of a culture that shaped us. In front of our booth, we set a small stage. It didn’t take long for the real ones to show up. Bay Area legends touched down. B-boys who’ve carried the rhythm of The City for decades turned our activation into a moment.
Meanwhile, inside, the panels held weight. DJ’s, b-boys, graf writers and emcees shared their stories that built the Bay’s hip-hop identity.
The crowd stayed loud. The energy stayed real. Moments that shaped generations, told straight from the source. This is what it means to be part of the culture, not just in it.
