We pulled up to themidwaysf for the first annual sf.hiphop Festival surrounded by graffiti, vinyl, cyphers and the legacy of a culture that shaped us. In front of our booth, we set a small stage. It didn’t take long for the real ones to show up. Bay Area legends touched down. B-boys who’ve carried the rhythm of The City for decades turned our activation into a moment. Meanwhile, inside, the panels held weight. DJ’s, b-boys, graf writers and emcees shared their stories that built the Bay’s hip-hop identity. The crowd stayed loud.
