As
#SarcomaAwarenessMonth comes to a close, we want to recognize another incredible sarcoma survivor! 💛 🎗️
Rebecca emerged from months of treatment for Ewing Sarcoma, experiencing the most happiness she had in a long time. However, in the cruelest of twists, her cousin Jacob was then diagnosed with cancer. Jacob fought another type of sarcoma—rhabdomyosarcoma—but the cancer spread and he passed away, just a few months later.
Rebecca, now cancer-free and rising senior in college, spent the summer interning at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation supporting the social media team. She shared her story, her cousin’s, and her mission to help find cures for childhood cancer in the ALSF blog.
