I can’t believe I hadn’t visited this area before.
I’ve spent a lot of time exploring the American West, but after visiting Cody Wyoming and the surrounding area, I’ve already started planning my next visit. The landscapes, wildlife, and history are unlike anything I’ve ever seen… most of which were places I don’t think are on most folk’s bucket list:
Buffalo Bill Cody Scenic Byway: This section of road is full of wildlife and rock formations and connects Cody, WY to the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
Cody Nite Rodeo: The nightly rodeo in Cody is a true western experience.
Sunlight Basin: Easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
Lamar Valley: My favorite place in Yellowstone National Park for wildlife viewing. Bison, Pronghorns, Bears… you name it.
Chief Joseph Scenic Byway: This stretch of road connects Cody Wyoming to Sunlight Basin. There’s tons of history and the views are incredible.
