Bad news for our nation's waters, wetlands, and the animals who live there: The usacehq has proposed giving out nationwide permits to allow oil and gas development, pipeline construction, coal mining, and other toxic activities in U.S. waters and wetlands. ⚠️ Such a move would pollute habitat for a long list of imperiled species, including manatees — who already face starvation because of polluted water — and whooping cranes, who depend on waterways to survive their epic migrations. We sued to stop this scheme the last time it was proposed, and we just submitted new comments against it alongside our allies.
