Following the threads of discovery 🪲 Nina Devine is currently studying how drought affects the pests and pollinators of cucurbit agroecosystems, as well as the impact of water stress on the yield and flower production of different squash cultivars.  “I love following the threads of discovery wherever they lead. Particularly doing fieldwork, you might observe something unusual that leads you down a rabbit hole and suddenly you have a million more questions than when you started!  “I’d like to shoutout my two awesome field assistants Abby Seltzer and Lauren Sandberg! This research truly could not happen without them.  Nina is a First year PhD student in Entomology doing research for Kersch-Becker Lab
