Go, Crew-11! 🎉 NASA astronauts zenanaut and Mike Fincke, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov lifted off from NASAKennedy at 11:43 a.m. EDT on Aug. 1 aboard SpaceX’s Dragon Endeavour spacecraft. Crew-11 will dock at the ISS on Saturday, Aug. 2; after their arrival, they’ll perform scientific research, demonstrate new technologies, and help maintain the orbiting laboratory for the next several months. During the mission, Crew-11 will also contribute to NASAArtemis by simulating Moon landing scenarios that astronauts may encounter near the lunar South Pole, showing how the space station helps prepare crews for deep space human exploration.
