Testing the Pearlescent filter by tiffencompany The second diffusion filter that I wanted to try is the pearlescent! This filter gives a nice halo bloom to the highlights and reduces the digital sharpness of the photo for additional aesthetic. The filter helped to reduce some of the contrast when I was shooting in pitch darkness and it gave a really nice image straight out of camera. If you want a more filmic look, this filter definitely reduces the digital feel of the photo!
