Today UMass Memorial Health presented the fifth annual "Home Run for Life" at Polar Park, when the WooSox and IronPigs lined up on each foul line to give high fives to 8-year-old Charlette Pierre-Louis as she ran the bases and the crowd cheered her on. Charlette was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma when she was just five years old. After undergoing several chemotherapy treatments, rotationplasty surgery, and months of rehab at the UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, Charlette is now healthy and happy! Charlette loves to dance, and when she grows up, she wants to be a doctor! Thank you Charlette, the Pierre-Louis family, and UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center 💙
