While students have been on summer break, our Farmette Summer Camps have been sold out and full of activities on and off the farm 🌾 Campers spend the first half of the day doing farm activities like feeding our animals, harvesting cherries, zucchini, lettuce, onions and herbs, making mosaics and sun relief canvas bags, and cooking up a fresh snack to eat 🍒 Afternoons are spent with hands-on projects indoors, like creating wind chimes, bird houses, and more cooking 👩‍🍳 The kids also take trips to the creek to catch crawfish and enjoy visits from Modena Senior Living, making for a packed week of joyful engagement! These camps have become the absolute highlight of The Farmette, and a wonderful opportunity for kids from all over Denver to experience our incredible outdoor educational space. #denverjds #outdoorlearning #schoolfarm #farmcamp #summercamp
