HYROX training- cardio š°
My events for the HYROX competition at the end of the month are the farmers carry w/16kg kettle bells (35lbs each) and rowing 1000m. Before the start of each event thereās a 1km run (.62miles) and you do it all twice. My events are back to back meaning I have to run, row, run, carry, repeat. Thatās a lot of endurance needed along with strength training.
Iām running 2-3 days a week along with my actual events training. Iām mostly doing Belle Vitale workouts to complement it. A combo of strength and Pilates training. The Pilates helps with my alignment, breathing, range of motion, mobility & flexibility. Obviously the strength training is imperative for overall health and to be carrying those big kettle bells!
For my nutrition Iām following Belle Vitale phase 3 so my macro nutrient break down is 40/30/30. 40% healthy fats, 30% protein, 30% carbohydrates. This keeps my hormones balanced, my body fueled & my energy up.
