Last month SAMI Mentee Lindsay Valero (lindsnval) represented Scarpa and Mountain Hardwear at the Memphis Rox - Rox Festival and gave a talk on her “Guiding Journey to the Top of Denali” From Lindsay: The Rox Festival felt like a reunion with all of your best friends—and yet, I hardly knew anyone when I first landed in Chattanooga. Memphis Rox gave people a place to show up authentically and leave as part of an awesome community. I am grateful for the opportunity to have spoken about my journey in becoming a mountain guide and the transformative experience I had while guiding on Denali 13 months after ACL reconstruction surgery.
