Here’s a look at how Canisius High School bookends the United States men’s eight that will compete this week at the World Rowing Under-19 Championships in Lithuania.
Isaiah Aljuwani ’25 of Kenmore (at left in top photo) and Liam Feeney ’25 of West Seneca, who both helped CHS to unprecedented heights this spring by leading the Crusaders to multiple national championships, were both selected for the U.S. team following usrowing’s Under-19 National Team Selection Camp in Chula Vista, California. Aljuwani has been selected for the bow seat and Feeney for the stroke.

The team is now in Lithuania. Opening Ceremonies for worldrowingofficial’s rowingtrakai are Tuesday, the men’s 8 heats are Thursday and the finals are Sunday.
