The Miners win! ⛏️ Sussex County rocked the Brockton Rox, 9-3, to even the series on Wizards & Wands Night at skylandsstadium. Starting pitcher Jackson Balzan (W, 5-5, 3.90 ERA, pictured above) tossed eight strong innings, limiting the Rox to three runs on five hits while walking one and striking out nine. Newcomer Colin Kelly held Brockton hitless in the final frame to close out the game. Center fielder Dom Johnson went 3-for-3, scoring a run and driving in three. Hunter D’Amato, Sean Roby Jr., and Jordan Smith all had multi-hit games. Roby Jr. and Smith each knocked in a pair of runs.
