Dolphins are more than just some of the ocean’s most beloved animals. They are an incredible example of intelligence and connection in the wild. 🌊
Did you know…
🐬 Dolphins have names. They use unique whistles to identify each other, like how we use names.
🐬 They can “see” with sound. Dolphins use echolocation to navigate and hunt, sending out clicks and listening for the echoes that bounce back.
🐬 They’re social animals. Many species live in pods, working together to hunt, protect each other, and even care for sick or injured members of the group.
But even these incredible creatures are at risk. Plastic pollution, fishing gear entanglement, and ocean noise can all threaten dolphin populations. When plastic enters their habitats, it can harm the fish and squid they rely on for food or even entangle dolphins themselves.
Every action we take to reduce plastic waste helps protect dolphins and the ecosystems they call home. 💙
This month is all about keeping the ocean safe for these...
