A second whale has washed ashore near Astoria in Fort Stevens State Park, according to the Seaside Aquarium. This one is a small gray whale that a press release from Seaside Aquarium identified as a baby. Like the sperm whale spotted Saturday, this whale died before beaching, according to the aquarium. A spokesperson for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration confirmed the aquarium’s report Thursday morning.
