The Heartstopper movie has officially wrapped filming and got a release date update, with actors Kit Connor and Joe Locke saying goodbye to Nick and Charlie once and for all. Alice Oseman, the writer of the original Heartstopper graphic novel series and creator of the Netflix adaptation, confirmed yesterday (27 July) that filming had concluded after 35 days. In lieu of a fourth season, the upcoming Heartstopper movie will mark the end in Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring’s (Joe Locke) queer teen love story. Netflix has now confirmed that the film will be called Heartstopper Forever, and is set for release in 2026. A specific release date for the Heartstopper movie is yet to be confirmed. Both Connor and Locke shared their own sweet reactions to Heartstopper Forever finishing filming, as it marked the last time the two actors will likely ever play the characters again. #KitConnor #JoeLocke #Heartstopper #LGBTQNews
