Bad news for America's wildlife: The Senate voted yesterday to confirm Brian Nesvik to be the director of the usfws. As the former director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Nesvik led one of the most anti-conservation wildlife agencies in the country. And, he faced major national blowback in 2024 after his agency failed to take strong action against a man who captured a juvenile wolf by running her down with a snowmobile. The punishment for that repugnant, cruel act? A $250 fine. Nesvik's lax response says everything about his contempt for wildlife. “Nesvik is a yes-man who will rubberstamp Trump’s anti-wildlife agenda, no questions asked.
