Cleveland Guardians’ Nic Enright earned his first Major League save on Monday night in a 7-6 win over the New York Mets. But this wasn’t just any career milestone as Enright was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2022 and has one round of cancer treatment remaining. “I made the decision when I was diagnosed in 2022 with Hodgkin lymphoma that I wasn’t going to let that define my life and dictate how I was going to go about my life,” Enright said, per the Associated Press. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt spoke on the relief pitcher’s performance and mindset after the game, saying: “Nic’s such a great kid and what he’s been through in his personal life, nothing’s going to rattle him, either. He’s just been so great for us, so consistent. I’m just really happy for him and his family tonight.” . . . #nicenright #guardians #mlb (📸 Dustin Satloff/Getty Images)
