This new Turbo S will debut Porsche’s T-Hybrid system in a high-output configuration, pairing a twin-turbo flat-six with electric assistance for the first time in a Turbo model. Power is expected to reach around 700 horsepower, a major jump from the current model’s 640 hp. The T-Hybrid setup, first introduced on the new Carrera GTS, uses a 400-volt architecture, an electric motor integrated into the transmission, and an electric turbocharger that eliminates lag while improving torque delivery at low RPM.
