Marking a new chapter in his career, the album was Snoop’s first without key West Coast collaborators like #DrDre, #NateDogg, and #WarrenG. Despite the shift in sound and label, the project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 520,000 copies in its first week, his third straight chart-topping album. As of March 2008, it had sold over 4.4 million copies in the U.S., making it Snoop’s second best-selling album after Doggystyle.
