Since he graduated with an art history degree in 2022, Sam Debatin has been working as a piano tuner thanks to the teachings of the School of Music's piano technician, Christopher Purdy. Over the past three years, Debatin has serviced pianos in Pittsburgh, where he's based, as well as Columbus — he even landed a job with Burning Man.
