This August 4th, as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA), we’re thrilled to spotlight the incredible strides made in upgrading water and sewage systems across our national parks, turning long-held “pipe dreams” into reality! Join us in celebrating this milestone with free park entrances and witness firsthand how #GAOA is making a splash! Signed into law in 2020, GAOA’s National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF) has pumped up to $1.3 billion annually into critical infrastructure, tackling a backlog of maintenance needs that ensures our parks remain safe, accessible, and sustainable for millions of visitors and future generations. Follow parks online to learn more about all the projects underway and completed over the last five years.
