Let’s start this series off with maybe the most under appreciated player in the MLB (surely not under appreciated in this fanbase ) Dylan Moore. Moore is placed under the outfielders category on FanGraphs so the following numbers are all among American League outfielders with at least 200 at bats. Moore ranks first in chase rate as he has the lowest among the group which includes all the household names (Trout, Judge, Julio, etc). His speed score also ranks first among that group (fellow teammate Sam Haggerty is third in the list, Julio is 12th). One of the biggest stats that stood out to me for DMo was his OBP. Moore was 7th in OBP finishing just .001 away from Mike Trout this season. Anytime you’re in the company of Mike Trout, you know you’re doing the right things.
