Julio Rodriguez makes history, he is your 2022 American League Rookie of the Year beating out Steven Kwan and Adley Rutschman. Julio becomes just the fifth player in Seattle Mariners history to win the award (most recently Kyle Lewis in 2020). Julio’s historic season included a stop in Los Angeles for the home run derby where he finished in second place. He would also play in the All Star game. Less than a week ago, Julio also added a silver slugger award to his handful of accolades in his first rookie season.
