The latest U.S.-China tariff moves have drawn mixed reactions on Squawk Box Asia, with some warning of serious global consequences. ➡️ "I honestly don't see how you're going to add another 50% tariffs and actually get them enforced, even with the numbers that we are currently on. If those go on and stay on for a few months, we are looking at a global recession." Ajay Rajadhyaksha, Global Chairman of Research at Barclays said. ➡️ "This trade or tariff war has always been about the U.S. and China. Everybody else, I think, is kind of along for the ride." Robin Brooks, Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution said. ➡️ "Inflation, apart from some short-term goods inflation because of the tariffs, is likely not going to be an issue because inflation is also still pretty much under control." Dan Scott, CIO & Head of Multi Asset at Vontobel said.
