This is a special one. 🤘🏽🧡🤍 I’d be lying to myself if I said I haven’t been looking forward to this post for the last 4 years. So much so, that I’ve put it off for the last few weeks because when the day finally came, I couldn’t quite process nor find the right words to properly acknowledge/express how deeply proud I am of Ella and how far she’s come over the years. Thinking back, I had no idea what I was getting myself into with this little girl. All I knew was that I had just started pursuing Training Matrix full-time—no logo, small facility, maybe 4-5 clients—and this little girl, Ella, had reached out and really wants to start training. She showed up one day and was this funny, goofy, squirmy, giggly, hyper little ball of energy, with a strangely impressive focus, intensity, and work ethic, who also eventually always brought me an açaí bowl and loved telling me about her day—every. single. day.
