Meet Lachelle, a professor, director of a Vision Rehabilitation Therapy program, board member for the Guide Dog Foundation, and proud handler of her guide dog Lyra. After experiencing changes in her vision, Lachelle chose the Guide Dog Foundation for its highly recommended program and the ability to provide poodles.
When Lachelle matched with Lyra, she found more than a guide. She found a partner who brought joy, safety, and confidence. As Lachelle shares, “Lyra is not just my guide dog. She is the third daughter I never knew I needed.”
