Head football coach Mike Norvell discussed about true freshman wide receiver Tae’Shaun Gelsey after the Seminoles’ first day practicing in Jacksonville: “Tae’Shaun is a guy that I think is pushing to define a role for the team this year. He was hobbled in the early part of the summer. He missed the back part of spring, but I have liked what I have seen now through seven days, so it will be exciting to see how he grows through this fall camp. He’s going to have to have a big scrimmage on Sunday, but he definitely got our attention there on Tuesday night.” Gelsey is someone that Coach Norvell spoke highly of.
