Traveling around the world playing basketball has allowed me to meet many different people and develop relationships I couldn’t dream of if we didn’t not have basketball to connect us all. By building relationships with so many players I’ve had the chance to learn about different cultures and the trials and tribulations each and every one of my teammates have had to go through. We are able to have these tough conversations and express ourselves about certain topics. By having these conversations and making relationships I’ve realized I had different opportunities than most people have grown up with. Basketball has brought so much more than just games and stat sheets.
