There’s nothing like game day at the ballpark, especially when you get to share it with 60+ incredible kids.
This past Saturday, we teamed up with unanimousworld and thirtyink to bring students from across ousdnews and cif_oakland_section to oraclepark for Stephen Curry Day with the sfgiants—and it was unforgettable.
From a behind-the-scenes look at batting practice to a live reading of “Sports Superheroes-Stephen Curry” by author Josh Bycel, every moment celebrated the joy of play. Each student received a copy of the book (some even helped read it aloud!), enjoyed a classic ballpark dinner, and went home with a limited-edition Stephen Curry bobblehead. A few lucky kids even helped kick off the game with a “play ball” announcement from the field.
The day at the ballpark was about more than just baseball—it was about igniting a love of reading, inspiring kids to tell their own stories, and creating experiences through sports.
