SIX YEARS, SIX MOMENTS! When the pandemic shut down schools, it also cut off a lifeline: school meals. Eat. Learn. Play. pivoted fast, stepping into the emergency hunger relief space with urgency and care. Together with partners Alameda County Community Food Bank, Oakland Unified School District, World Central Kitchen, and Community Kitchens, we provided over 25 million meals to Oakland kids and families when they needed them most. What started as a response to crisis became the foundation for our ongoing work in fighting food insecurity and supporting community food systems.
